Michael Clough lives on an island in the estuary of the Skagit River. To get there, we parked in a grove of trees, walked down to a rickety old dock in the river, got in an open aluminum boat and motored for about 15 minutes. Not something that would be pleasant during a storm. But it is a beautiful and magical place he has carved for himself there. |
