The METRO Tunnel Project

July, 1988

In order to keep water out (part of the tunnel is below sea level), the tunnel was lined with quarter inch Mylar before the final layers of concrete were applied. There were 2 people on top of the platform working when I made this picture,  but they are not visible due to the 15 minute length of the exposure.
