Billy Ray Russell,

Billy Ray is a singer and a song writer in the Appalachian tradition. He moved to Seattle from Virginia as a youth, and has spent his adult life researching and writing songs about his family history. The guitar on Billy's right was made by his father out of matchsticks. He and his brothers painted the mural.
